Cancelled shows in 1990

Unknown songs and demos, who wrote what, who sang what, the usual biographies, discography gubbins, photos of Eldritch with no sunglasses, etc, etc, etc, yadda, yadda, yadda....

Hi there,

I know that someone here will have the information I need for this little task :D There was a couple of shows canceled in 1990:

Sun, 11-Nov-1990: Hála Tívoli - Yugoslavia - Ljubljana (cancelled)
Mon, 12-Nov-1990: Ludwigsburg - Germany - Forum (cancelled)
Tue, 13-Nov-1990: Lausanne - Switzerland - Halle 18 (cancelled)
Thu, 15-Nov-1990: Deinze - Belgium - Brielpoort (cancelled)

However, on Lachert's Golden Oldies (now dead) the following was listed:

10 Nov 1990: Slovan, Tivoli, Italy (canceled - Eldritch got ill)

SO, my question is the following - is the 10th and 11th actually the same canceled show? If you look at "Tivoli" it seems like a reasonably assumption but I'm still not sure... And since the 9th of November is played in Belgrade Yugoslavia traveling to Italy and then go back to Yugoslavia seems a bit wrong.. Anyone know for sure?

I bet the mistake is in the name Tivoli.
Halla Tivoli - Italian Tivoli

I am sure there were no Italian gigs (planned) that Autumn.

The Hala Tivoli gig was supposed to be on the 10th though.
No gig planned on the 11th.

That could be the reason yeah :) Thanks for clarifying that! I had no idea that the name meant that... So now I can change it on my website :notworthy:

Americana (the weirdest destination Sisters would ever have played... it's a 200km far from anyone who would ever listen to anything different from boring-to-death-country music! Thank God someone sensible told then to stop!), São Paulo, Brazil, on 28th October, 1990.

There is the ticket for the Lausanne gig november 13 in 1990.
and also the paper for this cancelled gig who was on the door of the gig place.

the paper translation:

Andrew Eldritch, front-singer of the band The Sisters Of Mercy has been hospitalized yesterday so the concert of this evening is unfortenately cancelled!

For the moment we are discussing with the management of the group to find a new date, probably in february or march 1991.

Acquired tickets for the concert of 13 november can be compensated at the location points where they have been bought.

Yes, no gig on the 11th. Ljubljana, Hala Tivoli was the 10th and the reason given at the time was "Strained vocal cords".
