The process for buying/selling/trading SW12 tickets has changed.
Gone is the old event profile which was being used by less than decent people (that's the nicest way it can be said) to operate as rogue traders.

So am I really the only one getting excited about this one then? Pretty pissed off that Melbourne are getting the club dates as I have no way of getting down there, but at least I'm going to get to see them for the first time in 11 years, can't wait
smug as hell, they're coming...

No, you're not the only one getting excited about the Sydney show.ozjohn1 wrote:So am I really the only one getting excited about this one then? I'm same as you - pissed off I can't get to the Melb club shows, but
nonetheless looking forward to seeing Sisters for st time since Barcelona 2006....
Do you know how many stages there will be at Paramatta Park ?
Bit worried they'll be playing at 3pm and I'll be eating a hot dog or
something and miss'em. Disaster

There are going to be 7 stages, Sisters are the last band on stage 7, supposed to be playing 9:20-10:oo, I will be really pissed if the other bands run on and cut a short set even shorter...
Still it's better than nothing.
Getting quite excited now..

not much else for me, I've been told I MUST see steel panther, the wife wants to see Paradise Lost, and we'll probably go and see Marilyn manson (Last time we went to see him I did spend more time outside than in chatting to a burlesque girl) Should point out to you, it's at Olympic Park, don't go to Parramatta!!!! The Soundwave revolution that was cancelled last year was supposed to be at Parramatta park, looking at the map in drum media it's definitely Olympic Park..,

Forty minutes on the nail, no encores they came they played they finished on time. Good show, loud enough and the band seemed on form. Got some nice pics from the front row, will sort those out later. A few technical issues, we lost ben during crash and burn and I think we lost chris at one point. The lovely green t was back, to be taken off later in favour of a tight black one, goatee still there. He could smoke (marlboro lights) so he seemed happy and actually seemed. To be singing directly to me and my wife, cracking show, more to follow

Cheers Ozjohn1.
Goog gig. Audience more gripped by curiosity / intrigue than
gayful abandon - lady next to me said she'd waited 27 years to see them live !
I managed front row (to the right).
There was no "intro" tape. From what I could see before hand, the nurse
and guitarists took it on themselves to hook everything up and assist
with a mini sound check before hand. It all looked a bit DIY !
Set list as I remember it was as follows, i.e. thought they played
VT last, and also Alice (?)
Temple of Love
Ribbons
Crash and Burn
Alice
Doctor Jeep / Detonation Boulvard

Lucretia My Reflection

Ok, lets see if I can figure this part out....
So the gig looked like this...
http://www.flickr.com/photos/77339893@N ... stream[img]
You can find the rest of the photos here http://www.flickr.com/photos/77339893@N03/
Hope that part worked ok, I've not tried that before...
Ocean moves was right, the band kind of set up by themselves (well Chris and Nurse did) and rapidly sound checked.
I met Ben shortly before the show and he was nice and polite for autographs and photo etc, actually raised our moods as the rest of the day had had a few bad moments, Paradise lost, who my wife really wanted to see had their set time changed so we arrived early to see them and just caught the last song, then in a rather frenzied pit for bad religion a crowd surfer landed on me and broke a rib, however meeting Ben reminded us why we were there and we had a great time. It was really good to see the sisters again, and actually see them this time, we were right down on the barrier so had a perfect view. Not too smoky, in fact the smoke didn't really kick in until halfway through the opener. Seemed like there were quite a few people there for them, but I wasn't looking round. Technical troubles aside (many of the bands we saw had far worse ones, must be a byproduct of the festival) it was good to see the Sisters playing well and having fun, yes it was short and sweet but they were slick and did the job to perfection, I just wish they could have done another full length one in Sydney, still I hope they made some promoter friends and will come back down here, worth the wait? I reckon so, I just hope the next wait isn't so long.

Thought it was you I was standing next to. Wasn't sure so I didn't say anything. If I had known you had a broken rib I wouldn't have jumped around so much. I look wrecked holding that setlist in the last photo and truth be known after standing in that same spot almost the entire day I was.
Glad you and partner had a great time.
If it's any concellation I black and blue over my back from crowd surfers landing on me all day too.
