Re: Kai as a permanent member

Dylan updated his Insta bio to read "Writer/guitarist The Sisters of Mercy 2019-2023."

So that happened. Looks like he's permanently out.

Re: 2023-09-22 The Roundhouse, London, UK

Only been about 6 years since I last logged in! I'm sure you were all crying into your tea about it. Dylan sounded like he had major equipment problems last night, with few squeaks, drones, feedback and similar from his amps and changed guitars more often than I expected during the last few songs be...

Well, that was probably the best Sisters show I've seen since 1992. Probably.

Body & Soul? f**k me. That was glorious.

As was the 'new' intro to This Corrission.

THAT interview with THAT guitarist. If Huss doesn't sound that bothered, and wants to make records that sound like a pair of old f**king slippers instead of make a record that sounds awesome, that's his perogative. AFFG is the biggest pile of s**t I have heard for years. There's no point making a re...

That's the best live footage of the Sisters I've ever seen.

Sisters live are like Marmite. Sometimes good. Sometimes bad. But yes, Camden was a great gig. Near the top, and probably the best one I've seen by the Christo/Catalyst lineup,

If you want to stab one of the band in the neck because his vocals aren't to YOUR taste, consider this :

Firstly, live Sisters in the so-called glory days were often a bloody shambles.

Secondly, Bands don't need fans like you. Stay at home. Listen to the records. And SHUT THE f**k UP.

The Sisters should - and will - go on forever. They also need a damn good slap for not sticking out records. Having seen about 40,000 lineups of the band over the past 25 years, who is in the band is irrelevant. As long as the lights turn red when Von yells about Mother Russia dropping bombs on his ...

For me, aside from the obvious (Royal Albert Hall 1985), the best live recordings are in reverse chronological order Camden 2011 - an excellent recording of a great gig Leamington 2010 - the band on great form Pukkelpop 2001 - from my distant memory of a battered cassette, the band are fierce at thi...
