Re: Jesus Loves The Sisters

Reptile House does them every now and again. Perhaps if they see interest here they may reprint again. Mine usually gets an outing at Mish gigs. Ah, ok. So they are official ... other than I thought ... :innocent: ... thank you for the info ... :D ... I bought my Jesus Loves The Sisters shirt from ...

I've put on a bit over lockdown, so went with an XL shirt to be on the safe side - it's an absolutely huge piece of cotton, or whatever they make them from these days! Don't think I'll have to worry about growing out of it until at least next year.

New York Dolls in London when they reunited back in 2003 or so - had the flu and couldn't possibly make it, but I've been kicking myself ever since. I should've dragged myself from my death-bed for that one. Easy to say in retrospect! Morrissey at St David's Hall, Cardiff in 2006 on the Ringleader t...

Just received mine too, along with a 2010 ladies shirt for my other half which was a bargain at a fiver! I received my dispatch email just this morning too, so that was much quicker than expected.

Thanks for this Cthulhu Rising and Charlie for sharing - was a fantastic gig, and it's great to have this to listen back to.

Ha, from reading the posts, before listening, I was expecting something that sounded vaguely similar to, but not actually, Marian. Having heard it, I don't think it's a rip-off in the sense that they're claiming it as their own - they're never going to get away with that. It's clearly a tribute. It'...

Yeah absolutely true, all of that. If we all keep yelling "one more album" at the end of each gig, maybe it will eventually have an effect  Call me crazy, but it's going to happen, innit? I'm really starting to believe that! Fool that I am. I'm a glutton for punishment. But if it doesn’t hap...

Enjoyed the support too, right up my droney soundscape alley. Agree completely. There was definitely a post-rock vibe going on there. Reminded me quite a bit of Chelsea Wolfe, although more cerebral and less visceral. Picked up the clear vinyl album and a CD on the way out, and my other half was so...

Great night in Bristol tonight - news songs sounded fantastic. Took the kids (11 and 13) for their first indoor concert and they had a top nite out - met lots of friendly folks. Just got back home to South Wales and still buzzing. Going to work my way through all the videos that you wonderful people...

Listening back to the new tracks, I think I prefer But Genevieve of the two. I really liked the guitar harmonies Ben and Dylan played during the track. It just seemed a more coherent track than Black Sail . It's easy to forget how long it is since we had new songs... last year excepting (and the od...

Am I right in thinking But Genevieve and Black Sail were first plays?

I used to get mine on Worthing market. If they were a bit too loose, I'd turn them inside out & run a couple of rows of stitches with my mum' sewing machine up the inside leg to ensure a proper "sprayed on" look. Seems we all got them from markets. I don't think my kids would even know what a...

Those skintight stretchy black jeans were a tenner from a stall in Leeds Market too. They had an alarming tendency for the stitching in the crotch to come undone as I recall  Yes, indeed! I used to wear lycra cycling shorts under mine, so as not to appear too... obscene! My pair had to last me...

It's a Levi denim jacket isn't it? Or a "wrangler" like we used to call them, no matter what the brand, back in the day on the Wirral. Growing up in Gloucester, we always called them Levi's too. Best matched with a pair of skintight denim jeans (which were probably more elastane than denim) made by...

That gang mentality of being in a band - we haven’t seen that for a long time from the Sisters. It's really quite moving to see that in the current live band... a proper band, and proud of it. f**king awesome. Gawd bless 'em.

We're bringing my 11 year old son (who can play any Sisters riff on guitar better than I can) and my 13 year old daughter to this show. It'll be the first time we've taken them to an indoor gig - they came to Sonisphere 2014 with us and loved it, but my partner and the kids were camped up in bed by ...
