Re: 2023-05-23 Hollywood Palladium Los Angeles CA

Um, wow. I feel like that's the first 'thing' to have happened in Sisters-land for at least twenty years. Wow.

Not 100% sure about Bens vocals strangely, and he's normally on point, but the whole thing was something else. Wish they'd done UtG too though...

Re: Im Nin'Alu video (Ofra Haza)

Off at a tangent, but the video for Living On The Ceiling by Blancmange is very Dominion-esque. https://youtu.be/im3saZsxvqY Beyond the thematic and location similarity, the shot of the womans eyes is almost identical to Patricia's in Dominion. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that director's take ...

Im Nin'Alu video (Ofra Haza)

I've had a copy of this song for nearly thirty years, and have listened to it hundreds of times, but today's the first time I've watched the video. And it's Dominion – I guess this won't be a surprise to most, but I've never come across it mentioned anywhere – but it's clearly the template for the D...

Haha, bastard. At this rate I could legitimately take this question to my grave. Twenty years looked like a long time in 2002. Now it's the blink of an eye.

Re: Chris Catalyst: "Make Good Art"

While I'm tempted to suggest that Primal Scream might want their song back, I guess that's probably the point. Also, it's really good.

Chairman Bux

It's nearly ten years since he posted, so I finally feel safe asking – Bux was Von checking up on the kids, right?

Still not smoking, and added two days of fasting a week, plus Yoga. The difference between turning 30 and turning 40 ladies and gentlemen.

Who are the 'band' in the Floodland era TOTP performances?

Bar Von and Pat, I recognise James Ray and the guitarist chap off the This Corrosion video (who I believe was also on the record? A chum of Steinmans maybe?). But who are the various others? There's at least one other keyboard player and maybe a couple of extra guitarists at various points? Anyone I...

He was loitering on the edge of the dancefloor (alone) after a Leeds gig many moons ago (wearing a massive orange roadworkers jacket if memory serves), strangely unbothered by the hordes of people who'd just watched him on stage for an hour. I was halfway towards him, then checked myself and veered ...

I appreciated to hear about this, would enjoy to see how his sessions are. Why so bad comments from some in here? maybe you are the first who should book his services? anyways, in that field people would expect more references and certifications. hope it works out for him.
