Re: NEW SONGS!
Its not something I really equate to pleasng fans. If youre an artist you produce soemthing and if people like it they pay...we still pay for the gigs, tshirts etc, so many are still happy. For me its just a bit of personal disappointment... why do I only have 3 TSOM original CD's when it could have...

Re: Bands heavily influenced by the Sisters
According to Tommy Lee in The Dirt even Nikki Sixx went through an Andrew Erldritch phase. To be honest though, from the mid 80s onwards, AE did have a corker of an image.

Re: Live Stream
Just to spoil fun, i got in my memory trace that AE once said that he can't play guitar and sing simultaneously, so i guess it goes along with playing piano. I seem to recall he once commented he can barely play guitar and stand up at the same time. He could try a childs 3/4 guitar :D

TBH looking back on anybodys life you could probably find a load of unsavoury jokes, comments etc.
Not saying that its not important but there should also be a certain context in the whole narrative.

Re: But Genevieve
When I interviewed Ben earlier this year, obviously the question about The New Album came up, especially with what had happened in 2019 productivity wise. At one point he threw the question right back at me: What would happen if they actually released a new album, or to be more precise, what would ...

To be honest I think you are totally right :) And I think I have read interviews or other info suggesting something like that (writing, translating?)...but one can hope. I do however think he does find some fulfilment in living off the Sisters too/instead, since it's *his* project. And that project...

Re: But Genevieve
The last NMA Album got into the top 20 in UK... number 14? Did they make much money from it...I doubt it. But releasing records is an income as opposed to none. AE also knows damn well that there are thousands of Sisters fans that want to buy products instead of spotify.... why he does nt use this m...

Re: The Quietus podcast reappraising Floodland
Vision Thing hit the record stores as musical tastes in the UK and beyond were taking a huge left turn. To my ears it was Von's attempt to grab the American dollar with a hair metal/rawk pastiche. However, here we went baggie and the Yanks went grunge and the album flopped into the chasm between. I...

Re: Heartland FORUM THING T-shirt
Right, have spoken to the printers and they seem to believe @CellThree and @GC's tees are lost in your respective country's postal systems and they have re-printed replacements and will ship them this week. They'll probably still take a while to reach you - because like the rest of humanity, postal...

Re: COVID-19 coronavirus
Thankfully Leeds is not as Tesco dominated as many other parts of the UK. Locally we have Sainsbury's, Asda, M&S, Co-op and Morrisons. I'm still tickled by the fact that, with the choice of the whole city, Waitrose chose to put their first store invading the grim northern wastes in Meanwood. If you...

You've got a Tesco in Hungary...... ... with British things in it? I miss them zo badly in the Netherlands.... (Slight diversion from the serious topic) Tesco is massive here. Some British stuff, but not a lot. At least i can get Marmite there :) I can luckily also het Marmite... but need to ...

Nothing arrived yet... Mm. That’s annoying. I’ll chase it up today. @CellThree Apparently yours was dispatched at the end of July - I'd suggest give it until the end of next week and let me know. If it's still not arrived by then I’ll get another sent. @GC can you let me know if yours turned up? FW...

Re: COVID-19 coronavirus
To nick a Robert-ism , I fcuking despair. I really do. Infection rates going up all over Europe right now (thankfully mortality rates remain low) & tightened restrictions are starting to come into force here in Hungary. The supermarkets are repainting the 2 metre distance markers on the ground. I w...

Re: Eldritch and Morrissey?
I never really understood why the press savaged Gary Glitter so brutally but (e.g.) Bill Wyman's relationship with 13-year-old Mandy Smith was just fine. No mention about Zeppelin's 'antics' across the States in the 70's either. But Zep and the Stones had rock cred to hide behind, unlike Mr Glitter...

He also claims that Klaus Kinski in underated ....FFS Von likes his movies weirder than usual? He namedropped Wild at Heart era Nic Cage in the same sentence, so I only read it as him liking gonzo actors chewing up the scenery. Might as well oooh at him for championing Gary Glitter. You're right......

I can't connect an image...but I found an interview which asks AE:
Which public figures do you most despise?
Margaret Thatcher and Morrissey.
He also claims that Klaus Kinski in underated ....FFS
