Re: Sisters spotting

"Sisters of Mercy" was one of the answers in a question on yesterdays episode of The Chase, but in connection with the holy order not the band. Unfortunately it was the winning answer in that round so there was no opportunity for The Governess to chime in with some additional info.

Re: How Long After Hours

The only version of Afterhours is the one on MR029T. All the others are fake. They're copies of the record, some are poor quality because of too many generations, others maybe have EQ or have been artificially extended by repeating parts of it. Yep. I have at least one bootleg where the tape is cle...

The rather limited vocal range does restrict choice nowadays, I'm struggling to find one tbh whereas in the past the choices were inspirational and amusing.

There's also an interview from the same US visit, on KROQ, 25th Jan 1991. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZL7B1_gd-Ks It's misdated as 25th Feb on youtube (and on the cassette cover), but that's impossible as it's mentioned that Eldritch is doing an instore appearance in Tower Records, Sherman Oaks ...

I'd say late 1990/early 1991. He says he's going to Las Vegas to shoot a video for next single "Detonation Boulevard". It wasn't a single in the UK bit there are US promo discs listed on discogs for 1990. Also mentions of the Gulf War which was end of 1990 into the first few months of 1991. And he s...

Another lovely read ... thank you for the link ... :D :notworthy: ... One question about the Strathclyde soundcheck: So, they did not do some Manic Depression excerpts or does this count among the many other little riffs ? I'd not noticed it, but it is a very poor quality recording. It's something ...

Now the rest of the songs are up on Spotify, Itunes, Qobuz... Quite Annoying that they got the names of the songs mixed up, lack of respect. Odd that multiple services mixed up the titles? Makes you think the "lack of respect" is closer to home maybe! Presumably they all have the same supplier. For...

It's worth bearing in mind that BBC radio now has a 320kbps stream available, so any future rebroadcast will go right up to around 22k rather than cutting at 16k. (Although it'll still be f***ed with a broomhandle as far as dynamic range is concerned.)

This is the third time I’ve come to heartland, ready to be a detached voyeur after a hint from Ben on some form of social media. Unknown location. Something creative. Rigs. Provocative secrecy. C’mon, people, SPECULATE already. I want to watch. For those of us who don't have a clue which social...

Wondering exactly what extras from this era do exist. I make it the Giving Ground 7" versions, the Norman Cook remix of Finland Red, and the Corrosion demos, and that's it. To add something to it, AE is reluctant to put down "final" versions of songs, he said so somewhere end-2016... They don't need it. It's understandable to not want to record a studio version immediately, as often when a band tours with a song it undergoes changes, often for the better... but... som...

What a load of utter bollocks. Sad though that some people will probably be taken in by it. And it must be a really ancient copy & paste if it's saying a bitcoin is only worth £7.92.
EDIT: Oh wait it's thousands. It's that stupid American way of denoting thousands with a dot.
