How long after release can we discuss it openly, without spoliler alerts. I mean, if you haven't read it within a month of release, is it our fault?
I wonder if Danny Mass/Horigan, was given an advance heads up, about his part in the book?

I intended saving it to read on holiday in August but cracked on Monday and am currently mid way through the Sisters section. It's a great read, I'm really enjoying it. ***Minor spoiler alert/question below*** > > > > > > > > Am I they only one that wasn't aware of the Von/Wayne meeting at Wembley a...

Is "Nobody really ever leaves The Sisters" some kind of hint? Probably not, but still... I thought that that was a really odd parting comment, coming after the point about the different work ethic/need to work, between Chris & Von. "It's time to return to life outside the Sisters but I may be back ...

"how much he wants to work isn’t concordant with how much I want and need to." Surely the above, has to be a reference to a lack of recording by the Sisters? Maybe there have been demos recorded over the last 14 years which led Chris to believe that a record would eventually be forthcoming but now...

Surely there is every chance that the band will still be playing live in 4 years time which would take us up to the 40th anniversary. I wonder if Von would see that as an obvious point to wrap things up & say goodbye? Then again, it would be classic Von, to pack it in a year or two later, on a...

Additional ticket fees are the number 1 for me. It's basically impossible to pay the face value and has been for decades but it's got progressively worse over time. A £28 ticket is inevitably going to end up costing at least £31.50 these days, even if bought from the ticket office, or printed at h...

March Violets. Only really got into them post split (the final one) in the late 80s. Kept meaning to catch the reformed band including the York Fulford Arms gig a couple of years ago but sadly didn't make the effort, as It was a week night. Sadly due to Simon's ill health, I've probably blown the ch...

I've always viewed it as nothing more than gentle Micky taking based on the split TBH. I was a Sisters fan first but also love the Mish. Regarding claims that WH constantly harps on about his time in the Sisters...... realistically every interviewer seems to ask him about his time in the band or the...

I saw them numerous times 88-91 but then lost interest when McCoy went all death metal with that dreadful Zoon album. Saw them on the tour with The Mish in 2013 & thought that they were superb & so went to see them at Whitby in 2014 & 2015 which were both great gigs too. From those three gigs and se...

[/i]). From what Chris has said AE is not hard to work with as long as you understand its his baby. And as long as your not trying to record your debut album for a major record label which is beyond its deadline & probably beyond it's budget & while you're recording the music the vocalist is in hos...

Looks rather spiffy :notworthy: **i think its fabulous. money better spent on one of those than seeing chameleons vox who disappointed like hell, ruined Second Skin and REFUSED to play In Shreds. I know we all have our favourites but as a Chameleons fan of 30+ years, I've never understood th...

good question. i think its partly down to who exactly leaves... If Hussey (Marx, Gunn) had tried to make the band his own I have little doubt that it would have fallen flat on its arse. There's a quote from Wayne that says as soon as he joined the Sisters, Gary asked him to leave and form another b...

To be fair, I think Tuesday Morning single from the Shane free album, was The Pogues most successful single, other than the obvious Fairytale of New York.Silence is platinum wrote:Τhe Pogues did an album without Shane which i think no one remembers, the frontman is always the most important member of a group.

They definitely wouldn't still be playing songs like that if they hadn't split. Von said in a post split interview that Wayne "Wanted to go down the Banshees route, musically"....Floodland shows that Von didn't. That said, I wouldn't read much into Sisters line ups of the last 2 decades being relati...
