Bands FC

This is a fun Twitter thing where someone is making band logos as if they were badges on football shirts. They've got round to our lot

All I Know For Sure: The Making Of First And Last And Always

Forgive me if this is already here, had a quick look round and couldn't see it. This long(ish) piece on the recording, mixing and mastering of FALAA was posted on Saturday. It's worth a read https://heavyleatherblog.wordpress.com/2017/03/11/all-i-know-for-sure-the-making-of-first-and-last-and-always/

Heartland Anthology book

morning,

can anyone help me with the difference between the first edition and the revised edition? Is it substantial, and if so which is the preferred version?

cheers

Yup, it's likely Never Land he's on about. "There is no other version of 'Never Land' (apart from demo versions and "full" versions edited together by bootleg merchants ). It's called 'Never Land (a fragment)' to reflect the way the song sounds: overheard and fondly detached. It's really not got so...

I have the Cabin Fever CD, not sure if Chris is on it or not, but it's a good record regardless. IIRC it was only a fiver from their website - well worth a punt if you're curious

not that I want to micturate on anyone's chips or anything, but a nasty thought occurred to me today - could it be that the official release of these lyrics is actually the final letting go of the idea of a new record? Von saying "I had plans for these, but they've come to naught so here you go"? An...

I work in a high street record shop, and we had loads of CDs in this range in this week - but not the Sisters one. It's basically cheap nonsense to cater for promotions etc. The other titles range from the decent (Stooges, Ramones) to the pisspoor (STP, Morcheeba...). Packaging is minimal, small rep...
