Re: Who wrote the "new" songs?
Chris had been in the band for what, 14, 15 years and then Dylan was drafted in at pretty short notice when Chris was unavailable for the Sisters (on tour with Ghost) so it's not like it's not been done before.

Re: Who wrote the "new" songs?
I'd guess the main beneficieries are the guys actually on stage performing the songs, and hence getting a cut of the door/merch etc. Anyone know more about how that kind of thing plays out? I don't know if this is true but I heard that the guitarists are on musicians' union minimum. No cut of the d...

Yeah no that's "how to write the sort of song that will get you slagged off on the Sisters' 'Dear Doktor' page".

Thanks again you lovely people. And I've still got 15 minutes left in work. At least this morning's mega-meeting finished half an hour early!

Re: Currently getting into the groove to
I've seen Ghost a couple of times now and they put on a fantastic show. I can't say that I really blame young Mr Catalyst if he prefers working with Ghost rather than the Sisters.

to you all
An online meeting lasting from 9:40 to 12:30 is not really how I envisaged spending my birthday morning but hey.

Re: The Art Of Darkness
I never really accepted that there was "goth music" per se (not even that shiatty "gothic metal" that people like Epica & Evanescence spew out). Rather music that goths gravitated to. Good point actually. If you sit down and think about it, it's not particularly easy to find...

I knew a lot of people who said they attended. From the number of Leeds residents that used to claim that they had been there, you'd have thought that the RAH held as many people as Elland Road

Re: The Art Of Darkness
our goth scene in the years 1980's were all the UK influences with USA mind you but obviously the UK was more prominent. the clubs we used to party at were all into Sister's, the cure, the cult, Siouxsie, violent femmes, clash, ramones, dead kennedy's , nine inch nails, depeche mode, ....punk, alte...

Re: The Art Of Darkness
Well that's just it isn't it. I'm pretty sure I have memory of Marr being very dismissive, even sneering at goth in the music papers back in the day. When it comes to it, I'm not particularly sure what Trent Reznor or Adam Ant have to do with goth. None of Killing Joke, Einstürzende, Laibach are rea...

Oh yeah - The Mandalorian and now The Last Of Us: by 2038, 50% of all TV drama will consist of Pedro Pascal taking a child on a dangerous journey.

The Last of us , wasn't sure at first but liking it more and more as the series has gone on . I recently finished The Last Of Us too. It's a bit... I dunno... bleak. Everybody dies! (Although I suppose that's par for the course for post-apocalyptic drama.) Been watching the new series of Star Trek ...
