At the Continental in Preston tonight to see Dr Diablo and the Rodent Show. In other words Rat Fink from ASF and Dr Diablo from Section 25. £10 for the whole night including 2 support bands and cheap beer.......whats not to like.

An eccentric mix....but that's me..!

The line-up for Whitby April 2023 starting to look more than decent. NMA. Rose of Avalanche, Ist Ist, Cold Cave and Nosferatu announced so far. Could be another weekend ticket.

Saw Skunk Anansie last friday night at Warehouse Manchester. Not too keen on the venue too big and cold/drafty but a totally brilliant gig. Skin on top form, would recommend .

Echo and The Bunnymen were excellent at the Albert Hall, Manc last night. Next up Dub Pistols, Skunk Anansie and The M**h.

Also booked for Whitby 2022. Line up is looking very good. So far have announced Neffs, Ghost Dance, Balaam and my new fav band Bootblacks. It's a cracking line up. We must have a HL meet in the pub this time :) Agreed a pub meet up would be great. Will have to wear something very very plain to rec...

To be fair I couldn't have seen them for about 35 of those years as they were split or touring as the Revillos...!!

Saw Jesus and Mary Chain last night in Manchester, very good indeed. Darklands was ace and then the setlist for the second half was very good as well-enjoy. As for gaps between seeing bands I saw the Rezillos in 1978-I think at Lancaster Uni and then in 2018 at Manc Academy. Suprised I survived neve...

SmileySister-Whitby was indeed superb. Just walking around is pure enjoyment and the music's not half bad. See you next year, x

Variety is the spice of life....!!

Was dragged to see Magnam back in about 2010 by the "good lady" at 53 Degrees in Preston. Total dross-couldn't sing, couldn't play, couldn't remember the words and couldn't care less. With hindsight playing Preston was an indication of how the night was going to be.....!!

Indeed, "oh my word" I am wondering if they do requests ? perhaps spiced rum flavour ?

I have discovered "cherry bakewell" flavour chocolate digestives.......my life is complete.

My album of the year would have to be Addict by The Dub Pistols. Every track superb.

My initial thought was Talking Heads not Radiohead but as only one will let you have it...!!!
