He also claims that Klaus Kinski in underated ....FFS
Von likes his movies weirder than usual? He namedropped Wild at Heart era Nic Cage in the same sentence, so I only read it as him liking gonzo actors chewing up the scenery.

Might as well oooh at him for championing Gary Glitter.

Yup, in fairness, Craig was the first and last real bass player in the band. Both Patsy and Tony were more on the promo side, and while Tony played live bass for a while, his studio contributions to Vision Thing were very limited.

czuczu's got it, Winterthur was Tony James' last show. On Oct 21st, 1991, about two months later, he told Von he was leaving the band. And what's the actual reason we no longer have one apart from falling out with a bass player in the past.... Money. The next year, Von opened up about the lack of ba...

I recall Patsy sued Von in the 90s over unpaid fees. IIRC, the case was settled out of court.

While settling, both parties agree to put a public lid on the matter. The tact Von aired his dirty laundry in UTR some time before the gag.

I suspect Von would probably take it as a compliment. He said recently that it's the metal bands who tend to "big up" the Sisters. I suspect he would ask for royalties. And bemoan the lyrical quality. But Von's done the same cut n' paste, wash n' rinse routines in the footsteps of T.S. Eliot. And a...

Nice band pic  A throwaway read-into-it - Ben looks calm (steady profile). Davey's a tad intense (avert gaze, clenched hands). Dylan's defiant (look at that chin). Von leans sideways like he's curious about the camera lens. The guy's spent half his life NOT releasing the next Sisters album. May...

Line up change for 2006 and we get to the current sound - it really hasn't changed a great deal since then. They're not as loud and cos they're not as loud so all the issues with their live sound are more obvious - lack of vocal range and power, thin lead guitar sound and some truly odd choices wit...

Factor in that there is an album's worth of songs from '97-'98. Creative itch was satiated by working out those numbers, followed by deflation and frustration due to a non-release. Whatever the reason behind it, such a situation is a nightmare for a band. The hope died in :von:'s case around 2003ish...

Nothing we've heard from this new batch is as good as the 97-98 stuff or the early noughties songs. I would have to agree. Where are the wonderful basslines and drums patterns? Or lyrics that you can't fit on a postcard? Pretty much everything he said three years ago jives with the new songs. Spars...

Yup, but anyhoo - big respect for Chris for all he's done for the band over the years. Quick math suggests Chris clocked up as many years of service as Mr Whammy and, with Ben, maintained the steadiest lineup in the bands history. Add up all he's done over the years, starting with making the live ge...

Susanne's a mystery. I (vaguely) recall some commentary that the main impetus to release the video was to convince promoters to book the band, without an actual DVD in sight, let alone a studio album. To further muddy the waters, see the lyrics page of the song. The sole songwriter credited is Mike ...
