i love it but i'm probably more fond of him-core than most heartlanders. ben's lead guitaring sounds like he took something from the sisters even and that darkest star chorus moved me

(are the kendo guys a call to total eclipse of the heart....)

ben had posted a clip last year, i guess it's from one of the diamond black songs since there's a song with the same title in the lyrics section

i have to defend his voice/vocal styling; i love it and think it suits especially the newer songs like arms perfectly (which i wish they'd include more in the setlist as they feel closer in spirit to the current band, but ofc one wants the classics too) his loss of range in notes and volume is felt ...

husek, i'm sorry for reneging on you without a word like that. some s**t came up and i got distracted, back now. i wrote a rough tab of marian, including the bothersome after-chorus part. it took me forever but wasn't that complicated after all, wayne is just very slick. Hussey (listen to the re...

I have an idea about most of them and some have nice tabs or midis already, but trying to play Hussey's beautiful part after the chorus in Marian just makes my head hurt. Do you know it?

Your own tabs have helped me greatly with guitar and the Sisters, hopefully someone else can get use from mine. Maybe with time, we can make proper transcriptions of the whole discography... The doubtful part, (I think) it's how Ben plays what you've marked as outro for '85, "maybe it's not so easy ...

Ben and Chris are my favourite for all the gig memories but even though I can only hear the others on bootlegs, each past lineup also had their own charms. I've listened the most to Vision Thing and the pre-FALAA releases lately and I'd kill to hear a concert of the '90 Bruhn/Bricheno/James lineup, ...

I added a tab for Susanne to the wiki. I think it's the most accurate one yet, although I may have introduced some novel mistakes too:

Also here is a midi file, which I couldn't find how to attach to the wiki but if that's possible it might help someone...

power chords only mean there is no minor or major third in the chord, so if an A major chord has A, C# and E as notes, and A minor has A, C and E, a power chord has A and E alone (and maybe A and E another time in a different octave). It sounds neither minor nor major, that's only implied by the not...

If minor chords make Lucretia too moody, you could also try just power chords since major chords might clash with the melody and the bass figure if you want to play that, but see what you like best. pretty and wistful Lucretia sounds good in my opinion, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

The chords for Lucretia are the same throughout so if you learn to play just the instrumental first, you'll only need to repeat the same thing the whole way. (Am) I hear the roar of a big machine (C) (Dm) (Am) Two worlds and in between (C) (Dm) I hear ...

Lucretia is Am C Dm and it sounds cute if you play the bass figure (F and E notes) over the C and Dm. Like iesus and husek said but we wrote at the same time. For SKOS , I'm not sure but I'd write it as G G Am C-Dm in the verses and there are two choruses, the first Dm C and the second Dm C B...

a minor and then sometimes it's e minor  were there specific songs that you wanted? i guess some of them, especially early on, were written around riffs so interpreting them into block chords is a bit muddy but if you learn how to read tabs (or figure out the bass by ear), you can glean a harmo...

Hello & welcome :) I believe Von produced them. They got Ashton in for Alice & (according to Les Mills) Von thought he'd learned everything & took over production again after Alice. marx corroborated that in his interview here (unless we're talking about the same thing), so it seems pretty safe to ...
