Re: How do you modify drum machines like The Sisters?

Most of the sound modification is done outside of the drum machine, which is why the live sound can sound a lot 'thinner'. Move to the DMX allowed line outputs at 'pad' rather than (stereo) 'kit' level so you can apply different gating and effects to e.g snare / kick / hi-hat. Not easily reproducibl...

Was there. Endured / enjoyed in equal measure. Sound in there is shocking; few nasty bits of feedback.
Utterly unconvinced by the Nurse being onstage giving it the Ibiza DJ factor.
Wouldn't;t have missed it for the world though :D

My original CD didn't have Temple '92 / Under The Gun choonage on it so these were the ones I was most interested in. Amazon Autorip looks like 256 VBR. Apple Music is 256 kbps FALAA / Floodland / Vision Thing downloads were all 320Kbps, so would like to get my hands on the 'proper' dl's as there wi...

Just picked a copy up from Amazon for £26.99
Damned if i can find the download codes though. Given that I have both Apple Music, Amazon Auto Rip and Amazon Prime I guess I'm not missing out unless anyone thinks the downloads I should have are "better"?
Anyone?

Searching for an Eldritch quote

Seem to remember a quote in the dim and distant where he was talking about the amount of smoke they used when playing live and he said something along the lines of "providing a space where the audience could find themselves"

Ringing any bells?

Ta muchly.

Getting mine based on the positive comments here. In the meantime I am listening to "Body and Soul" EP via Apple Music, and even on what is presumably their standard 256 streaming it is Sweet As.

Tix says doors at 7. Seems a tad early so I'm guessing support at 8 and band on at 9. Can anyone shed any light in this as I don't want to arrive at 9 to find I've missed the whole show. Did that once at a Therapy? show and was particularly gutted as we were sitting in the pub next door watching s**...

All Our Yesterdays: An Evening of Visceral Pleasures

http://www.wishville.co.uk/images/all-our-yesterdays.jpg As above really. I turn 40 in April, and rather than have a sad affair in a hotel function room with dried up sandwhiches and prawn vol-au-vents dancing to aga-f***in'-do played by some Dave Doubledecks I'll be attempting to recreate some of ...
