See Mack (2) at Discogs.com and look up what mixes he had done
around the time 1984/85 (Meat Loaf), it makes some sense...

The US Copyright Office website gives a release date of 16 February 1987 for the soundtrack album. Both songs sound more like Blondie than the Violets.
