I think you will like this....

There is an artist in Canada, Sid Dickens, who produces really lovely, intriguing small artworks which he calls 'memory blocks'. They are archaic-looking tiles, 6x8 inches in size, but much deeper than a normal (say, bathroom) tile: his are about 1.5 to 2 inches deep. Dickens' website barely does ju...

Re: Explain your name

I've recently moved and am now bed bound due to knackeredness. Censequontly it's time to post. 8) So why and how did people decide on their screen names? Mine derives from an anagram of my fore and middle names. If a similar topic has been posted before - I don't care as I'm tired  --- Actual...

Some things in the world of business are NOT for the faint of heart. It gets easier with experience. Here are a few tips: The more real you think money is, the harder you will work for it. A big bottle of Scotch and a telephone are all you need. Just make calls. When you can live this way and recogn...

Discovering new bars can be good. Friends always want to go over the same old territory - even if it's a venue they love to hate. I'm taking them to a posh cocktail bar on the 34th floor of a skyscraper hotel soon, just so they can shake things up a bit and see something a little different/new.

Although I like Eldo's music, there are people who can make me feel embarrassed for liking it (and goth stuff in general).

This is quite an interesting thread, but I don't know what anyone is talking about. Are "Near Meth Experience" a Sisters rip-off, as I have heard, or are they an Eldritch side project?

Isn't bass one of the simpler instruments to play - no chords, just notes? Anyway, she went pretty far for an allegedly unskilled musician. In fact, I believe there are heaps of relatively technically inefficient rockers around.

Any gamblers here?

I like Baccarat and Sic Bo the best. Love Baccarat. I was in a casino last night, in fact. Its retro Art Deco bar is the best, but when I wandered over to the restroom for a quick spew (which I blame on the tequila shots - the lemon suck at the end is the nicest part of that recipe - and on an unusu...

Even 'Body Electric' is overlooked, but I don't particularly like it (either version), although the second one (Body And Soul EP) was better, IMHO.

The did Fix on the Wake (RAH gig) video and I don't think there was even any guitar - Just Andy, and Craig on bass. Is this right?

Never been one for slogans on t-shirts or other clothes, myself. I go for 40s/50s clothes with a moody film noir look. And music that combines film noir with the 'spaghetti western' - like Stan Ridgway - or Eldritch circa the Black Planet, Dominion, or maybe even 1959, clips...

The throat, or upward strikes to the nose, etc. The back of the knee is weak and badly designed and is a quick way to get people down. San Soo practitioners, unlike other martial artists, are taught to fight from any position, seated or otherwise. If someone breaks into your house while you're lying...

Killed.....yet. ---- Dave, I recommend San Soo - a great martial art, if you can find a teacher. This stuff doesn't show up in tournaments or competitions because it's only for killing or crippling, not self-defence. You have (a) three blows and (b) three to ten seconds in which to do so. Buy some ...
