Hey, Black Biscuit. Great post. Have you thought of writing for the mail? They're also good on sweeping generalisations which have no resemblance to the truth. Stay half-baked CP PS Great name. --- Gee, thanks. What are you, a lawyer or a journo? In fact, I have authored several books (and thousand...

Hugo Klang, from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, was fired from the band with a punch in the face on the way to the airport after a gig because he sang along with Nick Cave's (lead) vocal lines throughout every song, rather than just doing the backing vocals he was hired to do.

Well, if the song is about sex, which I believe it is, then I'd say it's "inside", not the predictable morbidity of "in silence". A sad, gothic obsession with death could backfire on you badly when the situation gets a bit more real. Train is the SOM song about death, if there aren't more....

Dunno exactly what your problem is, but I hope it isn't a serious legal problem based on the sort of replies you've elicited so far! As for lawyers, I'll tell you a little bit about the lawyer down the street. He always looks very pleased with himself, is a real flash dresser (loud pinstripe suits),...

Those DD boys couldn't remember which famous old Sydney building they stood on the steps of for the cover photo of their third album. I had to tell 'em. They used to drink at a bar called Benny's when they were in Sydney.

Maybe the 20 year embargo or whatever was long enough until the majority of the bands were dead, disbanded, would actually be happy with a last shot at some publicity/fame, etc. There were performers to suit all ages and races. Judas Priest and Black Sabbath put on energetic performances (Ozzy Osbou...

Live Aid, July 13, 1985

I have the 4 DVD set from this concert. It seems there was a 20 year embargo put on it by Sir Geldof. (Is embargo the right word to use here? - they use it at media conferences I go to prior to major events, meaning the info presented should not be disseminated until the embargo ends.) Anyway, from ...

I've actually had a few experiences over the years, two of which were decidedly harrowing, one involving poltergeist activity, with witnesses. Beyond that, and despite that, I describe myself as an open-minded skeptic. I believe the spirit world exists (ie, I believe spirits exist) but I also believ...

Will this help?

An interviewer with Jon Klein of Specimen, who was behind London's Batcave club, queried why the Sisters never played there, when every other act did. Klein didn't know. "Perhaps their paths never crossed". Surely Sisters fans were always a little more crusty than the decorative/fetish goth types ar...

This will elicit some skepticism, but you can read a person's mind by exactly mirroring their phsyiology and body language. You see what they are seeing.

Small world! The guy in the foreground in that photo is from Sydney, Australia. So is the girl who is prominent in some of the pix. The angst-y, Freudian-looking dude with the pointed goatee beard is a goose no matter where he's from. Is it any wonder that so many bands have distanced themselves for...

Listen, champ, neglect is one of my favourite words. Here's to families long dead. I hear Eldo hasn't seen his mother "in 15 years". You have to work at being a family, otherwise the unity you had while you were a child, dependent on your parents for everything and inseparable from their day-to-day ...

First of all, I can't help it if I'm an a--hole. Other than that, I must say, it is a credit to the genius of Eldritch that his music made Goth pallatable to a wider audience. And, let's face it, although he may have worn a beard and white suit for a while, at least he never got around in a triangul...

Nasty case of possession, perhaps? Can't walk to the shops without consulting the Tarot first? I had a weird experience once after visiting a house where a seance had recently been done. (The tenants had recently moved in and had uneasy feelings about the house.) And, like The Exorcist, Ouija Boards...

My mentor taght me (by osmosis) that the keywords in the thinking person's vocabulary are the words "sh-t" and "a--hole". The more you think about it, the more you realize it's right and true.
