The first half of the concert was pretty pedestrian. No edge to anything, and the sound was a bit muffled on the whole. "Floorshow" in particular suffered from the guitars being way too low in the mix, the Doktor's rattling dominating the sound completely. Then "Arms" went down pretty well, and thin...

Don't know if DocSommer 's latest video helps? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sroxlvwptk0&fmt=22 Not a lot, I believe. It resolved that be/feel-second line thing, however. the last line of the first verse could begin Live your life in a wraith . I didn't say it made sense. Very plausible. I thought he was singing something to the effect of "vague" in Berlin, but "wraith" would fit both versions. Also, it's not as obscure as the Reed reference. Um, I was actually joki...

Surely we're in the realms of fantasy here. Although, if we're going down that road, the last line of the first verse could begin Live your life in a wraith . I didn't say it made sense. "keen" seems to be a spell in Dungeons & Dragons . Is the lyricist an RPG fan, perchance? Keen: This ability doubles the threat range of a weapon. This adds a bit of sense to the 'call' line, not to mention a fair amount of menace. Arms, v.12 Live your life in a parallax Live a life through the lens...

And. to be picky, wouldn't "Roma" have a capital if it's a German noun? I'm a bit confused when it comes to this. A word like doppelgänger doesn't, usually, when used in English. By the way, can we find a way of convincing him to make the sound this clear at all the shows? I'll semaphore him a few...

Good suggestions, stu. I'm pretty sure about the "Reed roman" stuff, though, strange as it seems. It has distinctly German diction. The two "signs/senses"-"call her some day" lines remain obscure. I agree with your observations and I still think there's a syllable after "away", but I left them in an...

Let's close the book on that, then. There's more to be done - "call her some day" is a bit shaky, and I'm beginning to doubt the "stay away" line a bit. Still sounds like an 'l' in there, as in "steal/steel/stale", and also like an extra syllable after "away". Not sure the "over the wisdom..." part ...

now after few listening more time it doesn't sounds like range rover 'cause this "rover" got - for me "m" instead "v" , but doesn't make sens. Definitely. Hence the "roe-mahn". It's not unusual for Von to sneak in the odd German word. Also, I think that "Parallax" title of Reed's is a bit too fitti...

I very much doubt that two car brands are there just to prove the point. I don't think he's singing Range Rover. M-B could fit in though. I think the MB might be there, but also doubt the Rover now. I hear offer. Also why not "live your life in the green room"? At least it makes sense with the theme. Range Rover fits perfectly, as does "man on the door". As for the "offer/over" bit, the Dresden one has a distinctly long 'o' at the beginning. I've listened to this a bit too much today, I think....

Yes. Never liked that "weened" stuff. Changed the next line as well (there's an awful lot of throwing going on). Methedrome is probably right on the sign stuff, though. "call it" sounds roughly ok the first time around, but not the second, and doesn't particularly make any sense. Arms, v.5.0 Live yo...
