Eddie Van Halen

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I saw him when Van Halen supported Sabbath in Stafford when I was a mere youth. Sabbath were awful.

I liked 1984 very much. Jump was one of my favorite songs ever. Sad to hear this :(
Never had the chance watch him play live :(

Even though I was aware that he got cancer, is still was a shock. Sad news.
He and his guitars really change musical landscape, his guitar style was close to guitar want, but never crossed that line.

We have just lost the greatest guitarist ever..along with Jimi Hendrix. If it wasn't for him there would never have been guitarists like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, etc etc.... he revolutionized the whole guitar world....playing techniques, use of amps and effects, guitar design, amp design etc etc.... He was a genius and will be sorely missed by countless people all over the world. R.I.P. Edward Lodewijk Van Halen. *takes a bow*
