Who is über admin?
I need to delete the new "I have slept..." page in order to make the redirect function properly...
i think i am, by default, but i have never really done anything adminy there. i just host it.

whats the address of the page you want removing? i'll have a look and see if i can work out how to do it.
http://sisterswiki.org/index.php/I_Have ... _In_Berlin

I tried redirect the old "Slept" page to the new one, but that can't be done since that page already exists...

I'm starting to think that there's a case to be made for wiki accounts to need approval (via a PM on this board) before editing can be done.

No approval process other than a PM required, but this would stop the bots.

I've gone through 81 - 83 Gigography and edited setlists according to these two sources:
(some are still missing ...)

http://db.tsom.org/
http://www.lak.co.za/pib/

Thanks a lot to those who prepared them in an enormous effort ... :notworthy:

Where information differed I wrote: (not confirmed).

Might serve as sort of a basis - further information and links to other pages within in the Wiki
can always be added (though I have not yet found out, how to do this, but it's surely somewhere
in the HELP ...

@ lazarus corporation
.. or a sort of filter ... so that, for example more than three urls
in a row referring to platforms outside the Wiki might need a password ...

as posted on another thread:

-------------------------

its back up & working :)

http://sisterswiki.org/

i've had to tweak the urls a little bit to remove the /index.php/ from each page address, but to be honest that makes all the pages addresses a little cleaner anyway :)

just be aware that existing bookmarks might not work, eg:

http://sisterswiki.org/index.php/Music_Videos

is now

http://sisterswiki.org/Music_Videos

:D

if you spot any other bits of the wiki not working, please let me know :)

Thanks a lot.

Through with 85 setlists, now.
Calculations to approve save page no longer requested - fine.

 ... one of the epic ones ... and, maybe, one of the very German ones
... and then again, a very 20th + obviously x century human one.
... a marking of the symptoms of the stalemate, it's causes and effects ...

I couldn't say I didn't like it.
And the verses Mother Russia, Mother Russia, Mother Russia rain down, down, down ...
to me, that's really inexplicably wonderful, beautiful, reminding, somewhat generating love and will ... and ...

What else do you want to ask for in a time where the word, the name,
the definition is still missing - and/or regularly getting drowned at third
or second gasp?

Anyway, this is not the lyrics or nostalgic SciFi section. It's a nice day, so
I'd do all those pages again, if I knew their original content
... and as soon as I've found out how to create new pages ...

Besides I hope, all those wonderful pages that have been
prepared by some wonderful people can be restored by some of you ... :D ...

right, the wiki files and db are moved and the dns has been changed to the new server's ip address (85.214.138.95), so that should start to filter through for people now...

 ... sorry for my rather incomplete English ...

Please explain in other words to me what you mean by:
... so that should start to filter through for people now...
And will this return the pages I listed above? ... :?

nope, i moved the site based on a backup taken 30 seconds before i moved it

if they had gone already then i'm afraid they might be lost

unless someone who knows more about mediawiki knows how to restore long-dead pages...? i don't really understand what happened to them i'm afraid :|

how's the sisterswiki behaving these days btw?

its been up and running on the new server for a week or so... it gets full nightly backups of the database and filesystem, on a rolling 7 days basis (meaning we have a permanent set of 7 daily snapshots of the whole system)

its now located in germany so should be quite a bit faster for people this side of the atlantic, and its on a powerful box with not much else going on on it (for now!), which should also help :)

The tour in Summer 2005 was generally known as twothousandfive ...
I'd like to change this in the Wiki gigography, but this is linked to an existing page:
http://sisterswiki.org/index.php?title= ... edirect=no

I can't rename existing pages, so if anybody else could do this, please ... :D

Afterwards I will - of course - change the existing links to that page accordingly, should be no problem, it's only 2 links.

i'll have a look into it

also, i will be installed a simple security feature that requires logged out users to solve a simple maths problem when editing a page

eg, when they try submitting the edited page they will be asked something like "what is 65-13?" and if they answer incorrectly the edit will be rejected.

for now i will set it so that logged in users do not need to go through this step (so be sure to log in when you're updating stuff, Being645!)

let's see how effective that is :)
