Back on the streets show

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Was anyone else at the show with Utah Saints/AE, The Mish etc? If so, does anyone know how much the t-shirts are going for nowadays?

I've still got my long sleeve but it's got a lot of mileage on the clock, I'd doubt it would be worth much.
I've still got the Utah's setlist somewhere in the loft, I guess that might be worth something? I dunno!

IIRC someone had a recording (Dan probably?) of the Eldritch/Utahs bit but it was pretty unlistenable. No offence intended to Dan's recording, the sound system must have been a shocker.

there are two sources. I shared the second source in HL a few years back, so some people here must have it. I recall it's better than Dan's version, but perhaps not as long... i have no idea where i put it though.. it's on the end of a transfer disk somewhere

The sound was quite awful for the Eldritch/Saints set :-(

(Protect your baby ears! Sound is indeed quite shocking)

I remember the show fairly well and don't think The Mish were too bad, but that Utah Saints & :von: were awful. I seem to recall they were unable to practise for some reason

Just to restate my question - any idea how much the shirts sell for? I am thinking of putting on Ebay

Utah's forgot they were playing Wembley Stadium that week, or something like that.

I tihnk Cud may have broken the venue record for clearing the crowd away.

we spent the day between a pub up the road playing pinball and the venue so were well pissed by the time von came on. saw the utah saints three times that month and the sound was never that hot. we made a little 'pyramid' during the m*****n set and rushed the stage with it when von came on, so miss PiB, as she was then, ended up a few foot in front of von which was quite cool (but annoyed loads of other people)

we saw cud a few times and they were good value, just not that day. I thought the mish were worse though – new musical direction and all that

to reiterate, there is a much better source recording out there somewhere but I can’t find mine :?

I seem to remember so. Who else played? I remember another dreadful band but I blocked their name!

Ha ha yes indeed - Off The Streets.

Yes Cud were beyond sh1t, Utahs and Eldo were pretty sh1t and i think the m*****n were by far the best.

A very drunken day anyway- I always remember a girlfriend of mine literally passed out face down on a half eaten plate of noodles. i thought that wopuld be impossible but she managed it.
