Official Sisters Merch

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Quiff Boy wrote: 21 Aug 2020, 14:54 From a merch & manufacturing point of view, zip-up hoodies tend to be more expensive to make and print, which puts them an infavourable light when you see them in a web shop side by side with often cheaper non-zip up ones.

Also, they are harder to make with large prints on the front because there's a zip, and they're split into two halves! The two halves have to be lined up perfectly during printing - otherwise there's a mismatch in the final design - and that's really tricky to do with clothing because the material moves and is stretchy. Also the final design often looks a bit s**t when there's a zip running up the middle of it.

That's why most merch has a single, smaller design - usually on the left breast - on zip up hoodies.
Be that as it may, the Sisters are the only band that I've seen in the last twenty years that haven't had a zip hoodie. Is Von just being churlish on purpose..

.. ah.

As you were.

I still think a Sissies zip with just head and star, no writing, or new very plain head and half a star no cogs 2020 tour style on breast pocket would work, due to plain classic designs.

Let's deal with HL first.

Was hoping for a PROWY too, but I'm not grumbling, it looks nice, so I'll treat myself to an early birthday present.

Is the zip made of solid gold?

Heh. It is a bit on the dear side but I figured that since there's very little likelihood of a tour this year, a Christmas present to myself was justified!

Yeah, I much prefer a pullover one, but this one looks pretty swish... I'm particularly taken with the sleeve logo.

I'd prefer a pullover one with no hood.
Cheers.

Really sorry, but that new official hoody just looks way too 'busy' for me - quite ironic really. Holding out for the fabled Forum zipped hoody now I think
