THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Why bother then? Just let Wikipedia take the traffic.

Actually...

Aye; I could handle it if it were a site that dealt with sales itself, but on a site about pure knowledge? Shameless...

Well, yeah, it's within the letter but I think it goes beyond the spirit of the "copyleft" ideal.

It even keeps the memeorable link * to John Perry at its page for the Sisters of Mercy. (scroll down to the Vision Thing portion)

* Previously seen in this Heartland thread .

"Now in semi-retirement from his musical career"

They omitted to mention the incident with the high-profile female journalist, then of a national Music rag.

Nonetheless, it makes the old chap out to be quite a character doesn’t it? Like a curmudgeonly old grandfather who you can’t help but love, in spite of him being a crotchety old bastard.

All of which is not necessarily untrue.

The solicitors will be recalled and the dogs reigned back in.

Care to share, Mr. Informant? We eagerly gather around your feet to hear sordid tales of music, press, and the music press.

Sadly true; I was disowned myself by a grandparent for persistent usage of only black clothing.
I, of course, am not obliged to El Presidente by family ties. So, 'love' is perhaps too strong a word...

A gentleman would never discuss such matters. Twice.

WTF happened, then? I'm showing remarkabled tenacity in even bothering to ask, as it's Saturday night here and I could be getting pissed at this moment.

The reason I liked All The President's Men was in large part due to Deep Throat's quip about journalists' "shallowness and inexactitude". Indeed.

Eldritch dropped some unsubtle hints about a female music journalist he'd apparently shagged - i.e. saying what national paper she now works for. I didn't twig at first till I opened up the paper and saw one of her articles. I remember the interview she did with him in 1988 and the (alleged) sexual encounter doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
