As the resident functioning alcoholic....pre-gig drinks in Portland ?? Scooter McQuades is literally round the corner -
Irish bar in a narrow space with wood-panelled walls and does draught beers, cocktails & Jell-O shots (& a great clam chowder apparently)

Thanks for sharing. I saw them at Silver Spring. The mix seems clearer here. I’m seeing them again in Philadelphia — hoping they stay with the better sound from here! :)

'Better' in that you could clearly hear Andrew throughout. However FAR too quiet. Could hear conversations louder than the guitars. Needed lots more bollox.

Hmm… so they made up for AE being quiet by pulling everything back rather than boosting him up…

In fairness that is the way they've been doing it for decades now, as explained on the official site. Sure some gigs are more 'extremely quiet' than others.
There is increasing evidence to suggest that Chris may have been being sarcastic.
