Or some epic airy sounding Vocal FX Preset for Ben & Dylan - other songs also sounds very different during the backing vocal parts. It does give more room for the lead vox.

In fact, this very video confirms no-one is standing at a mic when the airy vox are playing. These are prerecorded.
