If you're reading this then you’ve spotted the post on the Ghost Dance forum where I give the alternate "read only" URL:

http://www.whosyourhost.co.uk/~myheart/

I’ll keep updating the Ghost Dance forum thread with status updates, etc, thats the best place to keep monitoring:

http://www.ghostdance.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=331

However, i'll repeat it here for the benefit of anyone not reading the GD site:

Seems we are having a comms problem between the website and the database, meaning that the site is not available via the usual URL

The website and the database reside on 2 different boxes, on 2 different networks. It seems on of the networks may have changed its firewall settings and blocked comms between the 2 networks.

I suspect it's the webserver hosting company that have done this (1&1), in which case it might take a couple of days to resolve the problem.

There’s no actual data loss, its just that the forum software cannot see the database at the moment, so the last update to the forum was a post made at 3.24am this morning.

Its not a hack, no data is lost, and no personal details have been compromised. Panic ye not! :)

I can get to it now.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I've got my life back!
