Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Ahhhh UK Decay...bought the first e.p Black Cat somethingorother then the For My Country single. Saw them supporting the Dead Kennedys in 1980. Bought the first album. Then I moved on.....

Gaz will have seen them as he saw Bauhuas at the Northampton Racecourse Pavillion (where they supported) also in 1980.

This is a difficult question, as the only 2 CDs available were very limited editions (100 copies each) sold through their website, and no longer available. You'll have to COUGHdownloadCOUGH stuff if you want to hear anything. Or go to record fairs and look for some vinyl, which seems to be fairly widely available. It tends to be overpriced on eBay and from collectors though.

Having said that, the For Madmen Only LP is very fine, dark with a punky edge, nicely raw and abrasive. If that's not the kind of stuff you like, try the Rising From The Dread EP, which is more progressive and melodic. The early seven inch singles are also very good.

My ex -flat mate, who was one of the Play Dead following was a huge UK Decay fan, when they split , Inexcelsis was formed: Spon (ex-UK Decay) on guitar , Errol Blyth on vocals , Mark Bond on bass (both ex-Ritual) and Roxy on drums. Prior to In Excelsis Spon put out a few records with UK Decay . Ritual released 2 singles (Mind Disease 7� and Kangaroo Court 12�) before splitting when the drummer and guitarist quit to join Death Cult. (Jamie Stewart and Nigel Preston) .

Some of that was 'lifted' from the Internet :D But you get my drift.
