nonsense worth binning -- from an audio thread

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I have absolutely onehundredpercently nothing against people who use capslock, emoticons, abbreviations, colour fonts, images in signatures, etc. but math -

But what if he was?
I have an impression that you just used a word "gay' as a derogatory word, and much as I'm aware that this whole discussion is stupid and pointless, I must make it clear that I don't like it.
It just makes me angry - whoever, whenever does that kind of thing.
I recently made a rather unpleasant scene at a party when I heard two men talking, one of them was in a drunken-depressive-whining-"nobodylovesme" mood and the other one was trying to cheer him up by saying things like "c'mon, be a man", "don't behave like a woman" and such - again, the "man" word was being used as positive as opposed to "be like a woman" being used as derogatory. I didn't like it, and I had to make it clear, and for the same reason I have to make it clear now, even though I know that this is no general chat and that I'm far off topic. But if you have something against gay people, don't assume that the whole world has to share your feelings.

I'm more inclined to see this as an extremely immature use of the term in a derogatory sense, in my experience limited to dumbass teenagers. (I'm making an assumption here that a Sisters forum is unlikely to attract rednecks, or the Brazilian equivalent thereof, but I could be totally off the mark...)

Either way, I share your distaste for that sort of trashtalk

I had a quick look at your posts math and your main goal of joining this forum is to grab stuff in the easiest way possible.
If not prove me wrong but even if it is the reason, that's fine with me as the shared stuff is there for everybody and uploaded by people who do us a favour. They don't have to you know!

But FFS do behave a bit decent!!! The way you use the word gay sounds like as if it should be an insult. That says something about you of which I truly do hope I am wrong, but for your sake only!

I 3rd(?) that, Math why would you want to insult anybody on this forum?, most of the people who post on this site are intelligent, nice people(I did say most), who don't give a fig about other peoples sexuality, we just like talking crap about The Sisters and wondering if there will ever be a 4th studio album!.

If you did use the word gay to be offensive then I would suggest you leave this site and TRY to get stuff that is posted on this site from other sources( no chance!). By the looks of things you can't even download from the links anyway, so the nice people have been helping you to get files, then you throw it back in their faces, how do you know if someone who has helped you isn't gay?.

Just my 2p's worth.
Words are just dust, in deserts of sound.

No, that was me.

Now. The audio section of this tour is such a stupid place for discussing this, but...

I remember crooners used the word gay a lot for being happy.

"I haven't seen a crocus or a rosebud, or a robin on the wing
But I feel so gay in a melancholy way, that it might as well be spring"

That's Sinatra. So yeah.

Personally i don't see the problem in using the word "gay" for describing something negative, such as "Panic At The Disco is gay".

In the latter part i'm not referring to somewhat homosexual, but something irritant, annoying, stupid, etc. gay in the "that's gay"-way.

If you use it as an offensive word with the meaning to underscribe that gaysexuals are stupid, it's time for you to meet the mighty Butch Daisy. I easily crunch your head with my eyelid.

Unfortunately for you, i'm not the only gay in the village.

Taking the political correctness out of the equation, I am more offended that an individual ignorantly proclaims to have a lost Sisters track, uploads it, demands others to send him stuff, then retorts like a child when someone chastises him on it.

Back to business, you're right.

Me myself i never ever uploaded a single file, and plundered the megauploads a lot and therefore i am thankful. I'm listening to all these weird bootlegs on my mp3 player and redo the gigs in my head. Instead i post compromising photo's of Ben, Von-lookalikes and contribute stupid essays.

If a download is no longer available or it doesn't work, that's sorry, but never bark or command someone to send a private mail with the file or whatsoever. Be satisfied with the available stuff, surrender for the unavailable.

Ouch, that was so ga... Dalai Lama.

EDIT: BTW, this was my 666th post.
