Body and Soul white cover?

I just picked up a body and soul 12" with a white cover design instead of the usual blue one. What's the beef with this? Mis-press or....?

they seem a bit rarer now than they were about 10 years ago. I haven't seen a white cover for sale in a good while, whereas there are plenty of blue covers about. This might be down to where one lives, of course.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Never comes up on eBay either. It was available in the UK on import during the 80s.

Edit: Just checked the above link. Apparently it does come up on eBay...

Body and Soul: United Kingdom - 12'' - (Merciful Release [MR 029T] / WEA [249362 0])

Body and Soul: Germany - 12'' - (Merciful Release [MRO 29 T] / WEA [249 362-0])

Body and Soul: Canada - 12'' - (WEA [24 93620])

So the white one is the German edition and not the UK edition?
Was it Alice or our daughter Ellice???

Maybe someone can help me with the difference between german an UK relaese?

Found maybe another variation in the german releases:
The white one
The blue with a barcode at the backcover
The blue with no barcode

Or is one of this blue the UK release?

The canadian has a small maple leaf on the backcover. That makes it easier...

So, maybe I can help a bit here ...

The black/white issue is a GERMAN ONLY release (NO mispress). The sleeve should mention that it was pressed in Alsdorf on the back cover, the label is also different to the UK pressing.

Re the Black/blue cover you should also look on the back of sleeve where it was pressed.

To my knowledge the UK first pressing (as other early UK first pressings), comes with a thin sleeve (no spine) and without barcode.

The barcode is on the UK reissue (with spine).

Maybe that helps.

Recently bought the white one for 11,00 GBP. Not that rare then I guess though I do like it a lot as a collector. :)
