I don't wanna live like I don't mind
Morning all. Jo has a (hopefully minor) family thing to deal with today & has asked me to get the ball rolling.
There's a full summary (sort of) of last week here with a few choice YT clips & bonus "dammit".
Although I neglected to include a wee peek at what Zlatan is up to in his MLS adventures.
Looks like the BB&S are taking early command, but there is plenty of time yet to catch up. I recall our lot overturning a 300+ point lead in our second season
So what's in store this week?
A week that climaxes with a huge game at Anfield where hopefully we'll be spared those dreadful Citeh away kits.
& how about ManUre? Will Rafa out-bus park JoMo?
Or will the old master revert to what he knows best?
ie
All that soap opera aside, my tip for the ones to watch are Arsenal. They are in their groove at the moment & almost going under the radar as they gradually climb the table eyeing their coveted 4th place for the first time in a couple of seasons.
So good luck to you all (especially us of course ) .
Oh & please put your beer cans in the bin so that Jo isn't left to clean up the cave again

I'm more or less here. Me mam has to have some tests for something that's almost certainly not going to happen. This does not mean that the whole idea wasn't a shock last night and that I don't need to buy a new pair of big brave girl pants. She's feeling ok after the initial wobble. She's more concerned that Dad finally showed that he has common sense.
Will be worrying until we know what's next.
Journalists were not happy this morning to get an early morning call to a JoMo press conf - which lasted 3.5 minutes. He's had a short haircut, which he once said was a sign of going into war. Also, Bobby Charlton has not been to a match this season.

End of a GW, start of blumming internationals again. Swings and roundabouts with injuries - time to recover for the crocks and plenty of time for more crocks to appear. Fingers crossed.
Last GW started with a cracker in FPL terms. Brighton beating West Ham wasn't so much of a surprise, I gues, but one team gained 46 points from that one game. 3 players from each team, Murray on a triple captain, Ryan in goal, another BHA defender, bonuses and some random other points.
On Saturday, the usual shenanigans began. Vokes bubbled to the surface with a goal in Burnley's draw with Huddersfield, with that Gudmundsson giving a good account of himself yet again. Another man with his name regularly scoring one way or another is Doherty at Wolves, who are quietly establishing themselves. He and Johnny are an excellent team at the moment. Palace beaten 1-0, 7 bookings, Hennessey moving on. At Leicester, Morgan was sent of but Schmeichel made 6 saves (not getting any bonus points though!). It didn't stop Everton winning 1-2 - Richarlison is back from suspension and straight back in the thick of things. Loads of saves in the Spurs/Cardiff game - 5 each, and let offs at both ends. Dier made the difference in the end with the only goal but I'm not sure Spurs didn't get away with it - 3 yellows for them and against 10 men.
Another red card in the Watford 0 Bournemouth 4 game. A great Bournemouth win, lifting them out of a rut, but a bit of a shock for Watford after their excellent start. King and Wilson got all the points.
Untidy really were. 2-0 down against Newcastle and deservedly so. They pulled it out of the bag in the end but honestly, this is not how it should be. Near misses and scares shouldn't be happening. 13 saves fairly evenly distributed showed what could have been. No sackings this week, but the mess is not tidied up yet. Watch this space and Zidane.
Sunday had the 'big' game of the weekend but neither Liverpool nor City could do it. Mahrez's pants penalty had everyone except Klopp facepalming. Salah and Aguero failed their managers again. Chelsea - or rather, Hazard and Barkley - dominated at St Mary's in a 3 - 0 class. Barkley back in the England Squad for now.
So, last on the list but first on the day, Arsenal stuffed Fulham (who looked quite bright for a while) 5-1 at the Cottage. Which is the most uncomfortable stadium I've ever been in. Sarri has given them confidence which has crept up on opponents. Aubameyang and Lacazette did most of teh work but there were a few others chipping in. Ramsey scored whilst his future is still unsecured.
So that was the week - elsewhere, this audacious penalty and luvverly doggie kept us entertained.
Enough of this! The tables! IGM got stuffed again and are only a few points above EIB. Both of us are 500 odd points below BB&S! 500!
The Yellow Jersey belongs to Dead Men Walking
Big Shout Out is for Klopps and Robos for 80 points
Dead Men Walking wear the Crown - all in yellow and a bit dazzling!
H2H table:
See you all over at the Shed for GW9. Have a lovely week watching players do stuff you can't get points for... xxxx!
