I think we're going to travel from England to see this one. Have fancied a trip to Utrecht since the Tour de France started there a couple of years ago. Looks a good city.

Does Sisters shows here normally sell out - it's quite a small city(?), so presumably quite a small venue. Could take a while to sort out the logistics of travel, child care etc.

They are playing at Ronda, a 2000 capacity, so not that small.

It's not that small....350000

Thanks, doesn't seem like something I need to book immediately, so can take some time to research. I hate the way that gigs go on sale (and sell out) months and months in advance now. I'm sure when I first started going to shows (early-mid 90s) tours would be announced a few weeks before they took place, and I stood a chance of knowing that I would be definitely be able to get there.

Was it ever established if Chris (and Ben?) is touring with Ghost this year? If so, then there's going to be line-up changes in The Sisters - https://www.loudersound.com/news/ghost- ... amed-death

Interesting, haven't seen that. Chris seems to be with them still, a quick googling said, and tsomofficial has nothing about the new tour..

Ben dropped out of Ghost a while ago, I think he only did that one (or one block of) tour(s). I assume someone else from the faceless mask carousel will step in for Chris on the new tour, but who knows. Press releases for Sisters dates give the usual line-up.

I was very much in doubt if i'd go or not after I saw them the last time in Paradiso, but hey, I got tickets. :)
And from what I have seen/heard from last weekends Hellfest gig I am positively surprised, so really looking forward to October,

In, well... bought a ticket.

Need to sort out some logistics but that should be the kick up the backside I need to actually book some hotels and trains.

Same here. Any hotel tips appreciated.
Think we'll be travelling down from Amsterdam on the day, if anyone knows the fastest route, that'll save me a Google. :D

Didn't think I would make it this year, but a (rather unpleasant) surprise trip just came up, so I'll be in Utrecht on the 20th. Yay. #52

See you all there!

I booked the NH Uetrecht via Booking.com ($88 for a night), looks like its 700m walking distance from the venue.

I too will be traveling from AMS the day of (I'll arrive from Curaçao in the wee morning hours); haven't made travel arrangements for that leg yet, but I assume there should be no lack of trains during the day to make that relatively short (?) trip.

NH is fine - stayed there many times for work.
May stay there myself although I need to be in Amsrerdam Zuid the next morning at 0815, might be easier to get a late train than an early one!

Utrecht is less than half hour from Schiphol, frequent trains.

Yeah. I checked for a friend who'll prolly be heading back to AMS, and the trains seem to run pretty much all night (at least til way past midnight, and we know Von isn't gonna keep us top that long).

Myself, I'm heading out to Dortmund the next day, so made most sense to get a local place (where ki can also store all by travel baggage ;).
