Wrist Meet Razor cover Black Planet

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

And it's not too bad except the singer sounds like he may have a cold.

Hmmm... ouch.

Terrible sub-Manson 4th division fare, but nice logo. Whatever happened to people taking Sisters songs in subtly different directions than goth-twaddle, as per Scooter's (or even better Nouvelle Vague's) Marian or Mr Irish Bastard's Temple? If you're gonna cover a song, do summat different with it. Y'know, like wot The Sisters did.

It's a parody account.

I like it! It could do with more natural singing (like most Sisters covers that lean towards the goffick) but it's a good take on the instrumental imo.

before i hear it, shouldnt that be 'wrist meets razor'? :P :innocent:

EDITED AFTER LISTEN: this comes into the 'pointless unless you're a tribute in which case it's not good enough' category.

this is better simply as its trying something different.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Hihi ... so The Sisters' songs do even work WITH a real drummer ... ... sounds a bit funny in the beginning, but hey, if you've never heard the original ...

"Wrist Meet Razor"? Really? Is some arsehole really trying to make self-harm cool and edgy?

it's this sort of incorrect stereotyping of OUR subculture from within that really fucks me off. no wonder the new gen darklings are obsessed with discussing what is and isn't goth.

I've always been partial to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozqtSmbMh_A

The rest of the album is obviously trash, however.
