Bug reports, quirks and other broken stuff

For you to give feedback to the Heartland moderators. Wish lists, fault reports, etc. You may get an answer, you may not. As in all things, it largely depends on how nicely you ask the people in charge... You're welcome.

Wow - nice work, hope everything went smooth behind the scenes^^

I like both the new desktop and responsive look here, kind of a silly reminder for me to get back to work @pd-forum wich still looks kinda default-ish after some major "under the hood updates" we had to perform some time ago.

Dears, my PMs are telling me that I have 2 unread, which I can't find and didn't have before The Change, and I do have two in Outbox that I can't delete. ???

Strange. I’ll have a look. Might be something to with some of the users we pruned shortly after the update.

If you open them, can you delete by clicking the "x"?
Cheers.

Yeah, my PMs show that I have 2 unread in my inbox too, but I can't find them. Assumed it was me being a chump, but maybe not!

Cheers, I think I wen't to that same issue some time ago - same might occure for the general notifications bell every now and then, simply click "mark all read" there, too.

@QB

Check out the "Simple mentions" EXT - it'll allow users to adress/mention other users via "@username" wich causes a handy notification at the mentioned users end:

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... _mentions/

Works for me @phpbb 3.3 and custom themes but you probably should try it on localhost/test forum first...

Oh, hey! Look!

🚨 RANDOM LYRICS ARE BACK!! 🚨

Whoop.

Users of both the light and dark themes should now see them on the homepage, where they replace the (slightly pointless) "board index" link.

Once you navigate away from the forum index the lyrics disappear and the breadcrumb navigation stuff is shown (where it's way more useful).

It's a super small "quality of life" change for you folks, but the effort to get those random lyrics there wasn't trivial and I had to write my own custom phpBB extension, so I'm quite proud of this

I've just tested the @ mentions extension DocSommer mentions on my local backup installation of the forum and it works a treat, so I'm going to enable it on here now.

Let's see how it goes :)
