Wayne's Salad Daze

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Word on the street is that he also played Walk Away, can you confirm if that's real, or maybe it was just a snippet like he used to do with Marian back in the 90s?

I'm not exactly a second source but he only played the intro riff, no vocals.

He was on really good form though - funny, played a few requests. Vocals and musicianship were tight and Evi V came back out for a few songs.

A far more enjoyable show than the Sisters at the Roundhouse.

There was an appropriate reading from the book in MCR. No Marian nor even a snippet of Walk Away. La Huss was in a good mood and took requests, played some and laughed off others. Some covers and a range of tunes what he wrote from teenage to now. A good night in a snug venue.
Apparently he might be back in town for two nights with friends in May but shhhhh.

Lol, back in the day "Big Nose" was a term of endearment. He was called far worse last night tbh.

Well teasing a Manc crowd with "You'll Never Walk Alone" was fun.

I recall a Mish gig at MCR Uni were said song was the outro tape, the mood was frosty to say the least

We both know this scouse v manc thing can be both really funny and quite toxic. Knife-edge or what!

Last night it was all good natured, probably down to Sunday's drawn match.

He's itching to sing YNWA, got heckled and shouted down before the end of the first line on Tuesday.
Did he have his flag & bear out in Mancland?

We have tickets for Brum and Leeds so we'll see the start and end of the tour. It's sound to see them end up back in Leeds as I hear this might be the last gig before another hiatus. I guess La Huss needs to refill his pen to write Salad Daze II, or III if you count the old album.
