Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Have you read Stephen Morris's book (part 1)?
I've not got round to it yet.
Got mine from 'Burning Shed' at £105 and delivered 48 hours later :D Now Sold Out and all the other Websites i've seen were selling it for a lot more. £148 from them if I'd wanted the 4x (remastered) 12" singles thrown in as well.

Rather impressed with the 'Extras' CD ("Cheetham Hill Rehearsal Rooms" Recordings, John Peel Session, New York and Blue Monday Demos), i've listened to it about 8 times today :D

I've got and read all 3 of Hooky's Books and my Elder(ly) Sisters copy of Barney's Book, which I found rather disappointing. Will need to get round to it, but cautious in case it's just "Bernard Mk II"....

I now right? It's practically impossible to buy their records though. No bandcamp, website's store is bare. Just itunes downloads which are rubbish quality.

Yeah, I just bought the singles available via iTunes. Looks like they are still around though. Thanks for posting this - I really like it.

Kinda wish I'd known about it in advance. Would have been tempted at that price. :P

Yeah, loved all of Hooky's memoirs - he pulls no punches.
Bernard's is...well...insipid at best innit?

Just came upon this by chance, on The Sacred Bones label...Says they were inspired by NMA and Southern Death Cult.
It seems to be a grower. They certainly do what they do with conviction.

Great name for a band - one of those "I really wish I'd thought of it" things. It's Kid Congo Powers (who I assume needs no introduction), Mick Collins (Dirtbombs), and Bob Bert (Sonic Youth/Chrome Cranks). It sounds exactly like a band with these three should sound. I like it.

I didn't realise they were still going until a friend made me listen to this. Oops.
