Cool. :notworthy: Any idea of the venue yet? Petofi again?

If you really want to start some new threads, ones for the Brazilian dates have not be initiated yet. :innocent:

There is still at least one gig without its own thread yet. I could start one, but I am neither planning on going to it nor a post-count whore. :innocent:

Thanks for the information on Petofi Hall. I added that to the list of gigs. That is what I thought. Too bad my trade for the 1991 Budapest gig went bust. :( Maybe that HLer will resent a copy. :?:

Hey elamanamou, here's the proper thread for us. :)
I don't know. The end of June is the most hectic period in my work, which means it will be very difficult to make up a lie credible enough to make it possible. But I'm thinking very hard about it.

http://www.petoficsarnok.hu/angol/angolelerhet.htm

we booked our hotel and flights yesterday 8)

going from thursday until monday...

ahh, another weekender. smashing 8) :D

who else is coming then?

my company works with a company from budapest and we currently have quite a few people over, so i'll pump them for info on bars, clubs, etc etc ;)

there's a long road the PEST district called Andrassy ut which runs from the tourist district near the danube, up to the city park in the north-east corner of PEST. i think the venue its actually in "city park".

clicky for map

have a look on www.expedia.co.uk

i saw a 2 star hotel in the center PEST for about £31 a night :!: would that do the job?

or the "Botel Hotel Lisa" - a boat on the danube converted into a 3 star hotel :o 8)

or there was a best western ("hotel lido") that was 4 star and £38 a night :)

there's some good bargains :)

Which hotel did you book, Quiffy?

When I was in Budapest last year I stayed here, nice hotel in the city:
http://www.ohb.hu/queenmary/index.en.html

A hotel which is little closer the venue would be fine though. Will search the internet this evening for alternatives.

Haven't booked my flight yet but I think I will go on Thursday and leave on Saturday.

we're in the "Starlight Suiten Hotel" :D

we thought we'd stay quite central, rather than go out near the venue, because we're going to make a long weekend of it 8)

Finding a hotel on the Pest side of Budapest, not too far away from the city and the venue and below 50,- EUR/night is really a pain... however, I finally booked this one:

RICHTER HOTEL
111 Thokoly Street
1141 BUDAPEST
+36/1/3635761

ordered ticket here:
www.eventim.sk

:D

Malev is not recommended indeed. From Germany easyjet and German Wings offer good prices.

1 month to go :D
