School's Out - Heartland August 2007 Weekender

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

School's Out - A(nother) Heartland (Late) Summer Spectacular

10 years of ever smurphing, ever more, more, more...

Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th August 2007

http://www.myheartland.co.uk/august/

Heartland, The Sisters of Murphy and Friday Flock are joining forces once again to provide a weekend of (late) summer marvellousness in the urban paradise that is Leeds, West Yorkshire.
  • On Friday 3rd August, Leeds' favourite Goth night Friday Flock will take place at theSubculture - the Phono may be gone but it's legacy lives on!
  • On Saturday 4th August, Heartland - the largest online community dedicated to The Sisters Of Mercy - will be back in it's spiritual home of Leeds for another night of traditional goth (and related) tunes.
  • On Sunday 5th August, The Sisters Of Murphy celebrate their 10th Anniversary :!: by performing a special set in their inimitable style at Black Sheep, probably the oldest goth night in the country.
We all got a bit tired and a bit skint last year didn't we, dragging ourselves across almost every continent to watch Uncle Andy and the girls mince around behind a whole load of pretty smoke...

Well, you've had a handful of months to recover and re-group, so ignore those spurious rumours of summer festivals because its time to haul those bones over to Leeds once more for another weekend of beerage, tuneage & ummmm... chattage (!?!?), courtesy of The People's Republic of West Yorkshire and us, your gracious hosts for the weekend.

And to those amongst you who will insist on trying to teach the youth of today, please note the careful timing of this event. You can thank us on the day.

And once again:
  • Friday 3rd Augusr: Friday Flock @ theSubculture
  • Saturday 4th August: Heartland Social @ Santiago's
  • Sunday 5th August: The Smurphs live (10th Anniversary celebration) @ Black Sheep (theSubculture)
Details of advance tickets will be made available shortly.

Further details of all events can be found here:As ever, thanks.

Your host,
QB :von:

If I can, I will try and travel up. :)

That is assuming a new face is welcome and a floor to sleep on can be arranged..

Erm, no. But that is yet another in a very long line of wicked 'doodles' Mr Weeble. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: When do you officially take up your position as Official HL Graphic Designer?

(mind you it'd have to be a co-op with Blasty, of course  :notworthy: )
There is increasing evidence to suggest that Chris may have been being sarcastic.
