A friends cousin said her friend filmed it, and only filmed those 3 songs because they were filming a little bit of every band at the festival and only had enough tape/batteries to do 3 songs of each.
do they have the 3 tracks of the chameleons playing? :o
PS Echo and the Bunnymen?

I just knew someone was gonna ask that. As far as I know they only had the Sisters part. This is going back to the late 80's and it's someone I've not seen for years and lost contact with. Maybe there's a copy out there somewhere?

York. From what lachert said, it seems that only Alice is shot from the side of the stage in that video...
Anaconda, Emma, A Rock and a Hard Place, Alice (shot from side of stage)
...so the bit in brackets only applies to Alice, not the songs before it.

The songs shot from the side of the stage are Rock & A Hard Place / Floorshow / Alice.

I don't have any other videos from 1985. Anyway, I made a capture of the 1984 interview.

NDR (German TV) xx.11.1984
interview with Andrew in London (mostly overdubbed in German) 5 min

youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBqtZY3knFs
download (avi): http://www.mediafire.com/?4gzdmtmbtmt

The video is such poor quality it's hard to get a decent capture, so it's all gone a bit Max Headroom!

Anyone wanna have a go at transcribing what he says?

What's this about a "Craig Adams copy" of Wake? One without all the effects?

I thought it was Amphetamine Logic. There's a video on YouTube, and a link was posted here some time back. A search should turn it up.

Von has a beard in the intro part of it, so it would seem to be late 85 or maybe even early 86, although he does refer to himself as "Andrew Eldritch from The Sisters of Mercy", which seems to indicate they were still a going concern at whatever time it was.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I think somewhere in HL there's an explanation what's the difference between Wake and 'the other version'... to be true I don't remember big differencies... have to take a look again.. to the video... and to the right thread...
