The SE7EN came together in Germany on Friday. The SE7EN (five boys, two girls) are my/our school gang from 1977-1979 when we all lived here as Forces Brats, as our parents were in the R.A.F. , and it was my turn to host the annual meet.

I picked them all up from FRA and they were already drunk. Laughing A fabulous first night consisted of dinner at a local German restaurant and a drunken session on my hof which ended at 4am.

Everyone up at 8am. We did Heidelberg. We did my local castle aka beer-garten. We then did my local annual festival 8pm-2am and then sat on the hof drinking until 5am.

Everyone up at 9am to catch the 11am train back to FRA and their flights home.

Animals. Alcoholic drains. Totally unbelievable that a gang of 48/49-year-old boys and girls can still do this. We are not worthy!

The coming together seems to spur us on. Our fearless leader!

Anyway, just got the first message that they're all safely back in Blighty so I seriously need to sleep. For a few days. And hope my liver doesn't give me a hunch-back in the morning.

Totally amazing weekend and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Cool

I'm drinking beer on the beach. Sand between my toes and whatnot. When I'm bored I've got an acoustic guitar, loads of Texas wine and Nietzsche's Daybreak.

Hihihih, that's adorable. Truly made me giggle here at work, while not depressed or having a bad day, but being really frustrated cause the forecast said 24 and sunny, yet it is like 18 and cloudy instead. Smile

A 5am phone call let me know Number Two Son was esconced in his campus apartment building. He'd had a delay in Germany because the plane had 'broke' Surprised So everything was delayed for 3 hours meaning many phonecalls to uni and transfer transport.

Has he eaten? Has he dare leave the building? Has he got his medical insurance sorted? Bank account?

He did mention the fog which I'd forgotten to tell him about Laughing
