Hello all,
New to the forum and at Tavastia experienced my first Sisters gig as I've only got into them about a year ago.
As it was the first one I didn't really know what to expect, but in the end I was completely blown away! Band was in great form and I really enjoyed the setlist as well. Was particularly glad they played Flood II at the climax of the gig - probably my fave Sisters song and there was no better way to cap it off. But the gig had also so many other memorable moments - like beginning of Dominion when Eldritch rubbed his hands and did the finger count before the bass kicks in - pure magic!
Great gig and I'm sure it won't be my last! |

Agree with damagedone, and sometimes it sounds like it's from rehearsals, like some kind of dry studio sound over it all. Excellent. |

Not kidding ... but of course I didn't hear them ... that were great, I imagine ... ...
however, the sound seemed to me just so ... really astonishing ... and wow, adorable ... ... like some long hidden treasure ...
Heaven knows who was responsible for this, maybe it's only been the mix ... ...
but it was wonderful, with extraordinary dynamics and an outstanding 'sound & rhythm carpet' ...
absolutely modern and absolutely rave ... and that combined with Sisters guitars ... extreme and perfectly great ...
Then again, what I hear is not necessarily what other people hear ... ... maybe there was only something going wrong ... ... |

Sound was definetly better than it was in Nosturi. Guitars were almost non-audible in Nosturi.
Visual and Audio during intro of Rain from Heaven was surreal. |

If this is what we might get in Auckland in September, I will be one very happy bunny. Sisters are sounding awesome at the moment, really vital and energised. |

Cheers people for the videos I had a great time in Helsinki - it was a wonderful gig in a really nice, friendly city (funny how it seems to get warmer the further north you go this summer ). For some reason, everything just fell into place at this gig. The sound and lights were stunning even from the front row. The only downer for me (and a minor one at that) was the €2.50 'service charge' demanded on entry into the venue, which Camy warned us about in advance. This extortion just discouraged me from buying anything from the bar when I really should have had something to drink in the heat.
Unexpected bonuses of this trip - the tower right next to our hotel (which we went up of course) and the Moomins shop at the airport departure gates! _________________ RIP Dale: 1994 - 2009 |

Thank you for the links to the videos.
The show at the Roundhouse might not be such a bad idea, now.
It sounds like the sound has improved a lot since I last saw the Sisters at the Astoria. The sound was terrible! |

How f**king good is Rain from Heaven? OMG.
Not to sound wazzy here, but it's got that whole Pink Floyd-soundscape thing going on - and I mean that in a good way.. when you hear some of those Floyd concerts from the 70s and it sounds like the music would mess your mind up.
We are not worthy. Blown away by how good the girls are sounding right now. |

Funny. I thought of the atmosphere the Comfortably Numb cover had, the one the Sisters did some years ago with mr Starling. Massive. _________________ guns & cars & accidents |
