Wayne on FALAA, Eldritch and stuff

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

certainly the people who "live" here are less provocative than those who don't.

Nice interview with some insightful comments on a classic period
This research was obviously a prelude to the Mish playing a version of Marian on the current tour
Let's imagine you wanted to leave a time capsule for future generations
Would you want a version sounding close to the original or a synthetic pumped up version powered by App

La Huss certainly has some friends in this place, though maybe not as many as in the earlier years when most members seemed to be on MWIS as well.

My own hazy recollections of the WH Sisters and early m*****n years are good, a personable bloke with a good sense of humour and who could take a ribbing (oooo'errrrr missus) with the best of them. His years in Liverpool certainly helped this. No-one can survive on Merseyside if they can't live through being mercilessly (sorry) ripped apart by their closest friends. We find it quite funny to be honest, though years spent in Yorkshire have taught me that the humour in Liverpool and Leeds can be very different.

I'd always put the old La Huss name down to his then 'any h*** is a goal' nature, rather than diva-like behaviour. Maybe that was just me being a div...

I did, recently. And i even had a short pm exchange with you about it.
Of course, the ban came not from the mods, they were told to do so.
but i still don't really know what it was you were saying, other than it had something to do with ther pope. believe me, no-one in this country is going to ban a discussion simply because it has a religious theme, even if it is completely derogatory to his hole-i-ness and likely to offend every bead-rattler betwen here and timbuctoo. even at defender-of-the-faith levels of [s] gullibility [/s] belief we are, by tradition, anglican/protestant/church of england; which means no confession, no purgatory, no guilt, and therefore no fear: not of eternal damnation, nor of god, his bastard son, or spooky the dog, and definitely not the pope. bearing in mind that when they first broke from rome back in the dark ages they still believed in fairies here and burnt old ladies for witchcraft, even then they weren't scared of/had absolutely no respect for Rome's pedophile general, so not a cat in hell's chance of it now.

EDIT; no offense like... :innocent:

Aside from Valentine, but otherwise - nope, no banned subjects.

Putting certain words through the swear filter is just part of the slightly irreverent humour of this site; the word "indeed" was in there once as well, IIRC.

Another part of the slightly irreverent humour is that folks who put themselves on a pompous podium can occasionally get taken down a peg or two - hopefully in a good-natured manner and with a sufficiently healthy dollop of friendly slagging included.
