Skeletal Family/Eldritch/Hussey KoHD to get official release

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

A 5-CD Skeletal Family box set is happening; look at what turns up at the end of disk 4 (the live disk): http://shop.cherryred.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=5264

Well that was unexpected. :)

I guess it's the nearest we'll get to new Sisters-related material for a while.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

In Findus lasagne.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

You have to believe/hope that there's access to a soundboard recording of this show somewhere in the SF archive.

Cannot believe they'd resort to a vinyl rip..

 hang on a minute - forgot that's exactly what Von did to fill a few b sides...

As far as I can recall Andrew J P hopped in a cab with a couple of bootlegs and hey presto - B sides!

Seems fair to me ;)

I had unpleasant opportunity to buy some of their "products", let's say that I don't like listen songs through cell/mobli phone speakers, except clock alarm and ringtones.

There was a time when I found this acceptable... maybe the early '90s... and I think we were all just grateful someone would put those old RLYL songs on a CD... but now, in 2015?

This arrived today.

Knocking On Heaven's Door with Von and Wayne.......reminds me of the quality of bootleg cassette tapes I used to collect in the '80s. Maybe one of the better quality ones but still a bootleg.

Opportunism by Skeletal Family or Cherry Red? I know that no-one asked Wayne if it was OK to release this long forgotten recording. I wonder how :von: feels about it.
