Just giving that a listen right now Very Happy https://youtu.be/VcHWSDTlmRA

I own this CDr ('Elegy' by Book of Sand) which the band recommends that - *WARNING*: this is an extremely loud album - please turn down the volume before pressing play Mr. Green

See if you can get an original vinyl pressing (or rip of it). They didn't put the overdubs on until the CD was released.

What the! I've never thought about it since I listened to the CD all through my teens and didn't find it on vinyl until later years. Those synthesizer sounds are so ingrained in my brain that I haven't noticed they're not there on the LP. NEED to listen to it as soon as I can!!! Thanks!

Yep. There was a bit of a hoo hah about the live tracks at the time & I think later releases have a different version of Ceremony where you can actually hear Ian. The CD even misses Twenty Four Hours because, at the time, discs were limited to 74 minutes (also the reason older CD boots of Disguised In Black are cut short during Ghostrider)

That Daily Bandcamp feed gives me some very nice recommendations every time! Nice to see! We are not worthy!

Today, some artwank-krautrock-electropunk band all dressed up as Yetis...

if you're not from PL, it's for me, someone from PL, interesting to see that after over 30 years of release Nowa Aleksandria gaining more and more attention. Siekiera was/is interesing band, only three album each has different sound, drasticlly different (from primitive punk, through cold wave, to neo-folk/ambient).

Bartek: Iím not from Poland and I know nothing about the Polish music scene, so thanks for the bit of info about Siekiera. Nice to know their music has picked up some traction over the years. Honestly, I was looking for some new synthy tunes and most of the early eighties stuff I like is usually from France or Belgium, so when I saw this Polish band, I was intrigued. Nowa Aleksandria is great stuff, dark, moody, repetitive (which I dig) and the vocals fit so well, even if I canít understand a word.
