The new Vallenfyre album...

The particular song in above URL, called An Apathetic Grave must be the most doomcrust-y song I've heard since Winter's Goden We are not worthy!

(All this drivel will probably set no bells ringing to most of you Goffs Laughing)

The first time I heard it I was not really able to play something else or even re-play it for a couple of hours... left me deeply impressed.
Then afterwards came stuff like Cathedral, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost and Anathema (and the first The Gathering!!), but tho I all liked it, the deep impact came with Winter...

Izzy HaveMercy: That's so interesting. I never got into PL/MDB/Anathema, but probably came to Into Darkness, Forest of Equilibrium and Transcendence Into the Peripheral around the same time. I wanna say it was all because of Lee Dorian, but not sure. Big ND fan, natch. Funny, because I came back a second time to Into Darkness thanks to a Sleep/Melvins phase later on. Yeesh, is it time to start a metal thread?
