ATTENTION! FANTASY WORLD CUP!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Exactly. It looks like something different this time ... ;D  ...

Of course, I'd be with England now, but on the other hand, there is also Beligum ... so good luck to both ... ;D ...

Decent read about Kaliningrad, where England play this evening. Russia's oldest stadium, apparently, built in the days when it was still Konigsberg and famous for a load of Kant.

Not the stadium England will be playing in, of course, but a nice little story all the same: https://groundhoppers.blog/2017/08/03/i ... t-stadium/

That was intense!

Actually thought there'd be more chance of a new TSOM album than England winning a penalty shoot-out!

Ah... remember back when we thought there was more chance of a new TSOM album that trump becoming the US president?

Those were simpler, happier times.

Was a bit of a scrappy match to be honest.
The ref was dreadful.
Every time he sprayed a white line down the Colombians stood on it & scrubbed it off with their studs so they could move the wall.
Barrios' headbutt should have seen him sent off & as for mobbing the ref, well, they got off lightly with six yellows.
Cheers.

Yeah it was an awful match. England were never in control, but Columbia only remembered to play football after the first penalty.

To the above list add Columbians trying to scuff up the penalty spot while the (terrible) ref was distracted.

Well done Pickford you bluenose **** lol

Funny enough, I didn't get home before the penalties ... so not much time for keeping fingers crossed during the match ... ...

Anyway, now the next match is with Sweden ... ... lovely, and again no easy choice, but ... sorry Swedes ... :innocent: ....

Still in it. And now the fun starts. My wife is Russian. Am I better off with a Croatia win and a disappointed wife, or with a Russia win and a family argument on Wednesday?

URGENT!!!!!!!!

Anyone Interested? A friend of mine has 2 tickets in a corporate box for the England v Croatia World Cup semi-final.

He paid £600 each including flights but didn't realize when he bought them that it was going to end up being the same day as his wedding!

If you are interested, he is looking for someone to take his place.
It's at Barnsley Registry Office at 4.00pm. The bride's name is Lauren -- she's 5'8", about 10 stone, blonde hair and even has her own teeth, has a good job and is a really good cook.
Football is coming home !!⚽

i'm confused. why is " fantasy" in the thread title when you are talking about the actual footy? i thought it was a game you lot all played online.

because it's all based on what happens in real life footy. we choose teams from the squads and get points for what they achieve (or points deducted for what they mess up).

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE IS NOW UP AND RUNNING!
We need you. Being beaten by T'Mish and T'Cure is unsupportable! Quality FPL managers needed to keep the hairspray on OUR side of the bathroom shelf. Or - keen will do. I have 6 players and need 11 - waiting for a response from a couple but may have some spaces for this season.
The leagues are ready and waiting for you. PM if you're in (and I don't already know)
