Worst Sisters songs.

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Fine. So that's the intro and outro at our wedding fcuked. Anything else I should know about?

 :innocent:
Well, given the situation, Under the gun might just be the appropriate choice of accompanying music.

Because we are bored that nothing is happening on the Sisters frontier and we want to talk about the Sisters though there is hardly anything to be said because it all has been said before so I guess the next few Sisters threads will be:

Best guitarist, worst concert, nicest shades or a poll about how may cigarettes AE smokes a day etc......
"as we walk on the floodland"

When You Don't See Me is one of my favouritest Sisters songs... as is Body and Soul... I evidently have nae taste.

Least favourites - Watch (no Von), Phantom, Kiss The Carpet Reprise (what was the point!?)... and um, that's it really. Love the rest. :notworthy:

That's a valid point, but only in the case of WYDSM IMO, which some have said is closer to REO Speedwagon anyway.

I'm going to put together an alternate version of VT for my delectation. (Again, because someone borrowed the last one permanently.)

1. Vision Thing (Canadian Club Remix) ... the longer the better.
2. Ribbons (album version)
3. Detonation Boulevard (album version)
4. Something Fast (live version from WYDSM single) ... works better live.
5. When You Don't See Me (Remix) ... because the original is borderline AOR. So's this, but at least it sounds better.
6. Dr Jeep (Radio Edit) ... because the album version is rather long, and dull. This version has some groovy guitar parts added in.
7. More (album version)
8. I Was Wrong (album version)

I like this version better than the album. Or could it just be that I've lost any sense of perspective by listening to the original all too frequently for well over a decade now?

Anaconda is another Sisters' song that sounds better live.

And I have to say that I prefer the album version of Vision Thing. It's shorter, but packs a harder punch because of it.

i agree; the "canadian" mix sounds like an extended version a la lucretia (long train) et al...the exception being the train amphetamix which is plain cool if you happen to own the flexi.

Amphetamix?

Is that the extended version on SBWBM, or another version?

it's the free-with-walk-away12" flexi (also b-side to lucretia 12") version which is probably the "some boys..." version.
