NEW SONGS!

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Four new songs! Nine in total.

Amazing. Can't wait to hear them. Surely we can expect another Near Meth Experience gig in the next month or so?

Although I'll predict now two or three of the total number won't get played and will remain as titles only, Far Parade style, on the website for the next ten years. Five song titles were listed last year, but only three were played.

If they actually performed a gig with even five or six of these new songs, that would be amazing. I'd travel for that, if the new tracks are anywhere near as good as Show Me etc.

Does this herald more setlist squabbles? Can we "spoilerise" them this time for any elderly like myself who delight in ant....... icipation.

Is that a thing in Pudsey? Genuine question, there's parts of Bradford (and not just the Home Of The Horselord countryside bits) where horseback is the number one mode of transport. And fair enough to it, never mind Sisters gigs, turning up anywhere on horseback is the preferred method :D

Enough frivolity for now, time to go suffer some more at the hands of local rivals.

Hey, no lobbing flour at my horse ya buggers!

I'm pretty sure most of Pudsey lurks under a LS postcode thankfully.

OK, this sounds like the tour's gonna be fun. Roll on March!
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Sure, for a while, but when all we can come up with from one song after 6 months is 'shed your skin' we need a bit more of a hint!

If The Neph's actually rode horses they'd save themselves a fortune in Be-Ro purchases. Just a thought, Carl. No charge.

As for the lyrics, why not start the guessing now and save Von the job? ;D I'd try meself but am buggered if I can think of anything to rhyme with Caligula.

atrioventricular? Extra-curricular?

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

 grand effort, but requiring an overtly posh home-counties pronunciation of Caligula to make it work. Not sure that's in Von's repertoire! Atrioventricular is a cool word mind, an opportunity missed not to have shoehorned it into the lyrics for Heartland ;D

So much excitement, and no LP.

It's now 30 years since the last one. Sad.
